After the ice caps melt, a mutant seafarer takes a bartender and her young charge aboard his boat to escape a pirate who desires their map to dry land. The mutated mariner must then fight for survival against starvation and outlaw smokers. He reluctantly helps the woman and young girl on their quest to find dry land.
