Handling

The film series centers around a dangerous genetic experiment involving spiders. In one storyline, a DNA experiment on a rare breed of spider takes place on a NASA space shuttle, which is engulfed by a freak meteor shower, causing disaster. Following these events, a scientist and a couple become hosts for the arachnids. Consequently, an army of spiders begins hunting human flesh, forcing characters to stop their feeding frenzy.
