Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy is a film about Lloyd Buist, a small drug smuggler from Scotland who is trying to figure out his way through life. While smuggling ecstasy from Amsterdam, Lloyd meets Heather, a beautiful Canadian girl seeking change after a bad relationship. The two meet while clubbing, but their developing feelings are complicated by the influence of ecstasy, leaving them unsure if their connection is real or just an illusion.
