Saturday Night Fever is a 1977 American dance drama directed by John Badham and produced by Robert Stigwood. The film stars John Travolta as Tony Manero, an Italian-American man who spends his weekends dancing and drinking at a local disco while dealing with social tensions in his working-class neighborhood. This film precedes Grease, which is a high school musical that followed it. John Travolta also appeared as Doody in a touring production of Grease.
