Set 225 years after a nuclear holocaust, humanity survives in subterranean cities or as "new primitives" living on the surface. A group of survivors encounters an abandoned laboratory attempting to revive the planet, only to be destroyed by fierce rats. This group then discovers an abandoned village filled with mutilated corpses and decides to settle there.
