Galaxy Quest is a 1999 sci-fi comedy that parodies Star Trek and its fandom. The story follows the cast of a fictional television show who are drawn into a real interstellar conflict by aliens who believe their series is real. These alumni must step out of their fictional roles to become real when an alien race needs their help. They also have to defend both Earth and the alien race from a powerful reptilian warlord.
